Who We Are

The Opus 414 Society is a dedicated ensemble of community members, volunteers and friends that are responsible for management and oversight of E.M. Skinner’s Opus 414 pipe organ.

As a team, we lead the restoration and ongoing care of this century-old instrument, establishing the structures necessary for continuing maintenance, education and outreach. Our backgrounds range from the creative and spiritual to the scientific and financial, all of us united in the goal of shaping the programs that will carry Opus 414 through another century of service.

Mission

The mission of The Opus 414 Society is to provide for the maintenance and preservation of E. M. Skinner's Opus 414 pipe organ, and through its programs, to contribute to the educational, charitable, cultural, and spiritual edification of the city of Chicago and the world.

Vision

The vision of the Opus 414 Society is to be a catalyst for the edification, education, and enjoyment of the cityand its world visitors through the music of Opus 414.
