The Opus 414 Society is united by its vision of a venerable instrument returned to its full potential, enhancing but also stepping beyond its role in traditional services to serve as a musical, spiritual and cultural touchstone for all of Chicago. We see a vibrant community of those both local and visiting, brought together with a creative, imaginative and welcoming symphony of sound in the heart of the city.

Meet Opus 414

For more than 100 years, the Opus 414 pipe organ has served as a source of inspiration and celebration for the city of Chicago. Located in the downtown area, the pipe organ boasts thousands of pipes that combine for an unforgettable experience of atmosphere and sound.
